2024 Educator of the Year

Jayme Domejka came to Pikes Peak Permaculture as a student in 2015. She was an engaged and eager student of permaculture. Having taken online courses previously, she had an extremely good grasp of it. Since that course, Jayme has achieved numerous certificates in design, teaching and natural building. Education is the one thing Jayme can’t get enough of! All the while, she runs her own homestead and permaculture consultation business and serves as the Program Director for Pike Peak Permaculture. Jayme has cultivated many positive connections within the regional community. She doesn’t just practice permaculture; she teaches it everywhere she can and guides her students and clients on the permaculture path. This award from the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts as the 2024 Educator of the Year is very well deserved. Pikes Peak Permaculture is so proud of Jayme Domejka and we are blessed with her ongoing work. Jayme is working for the whole of the planet through her work in the Pikes Peak region. Thank you, Jayme!

We’ve been making seed balls, you can make them too!

This is a fun, interactive way to rewild our spaces using natural materials that are widely available. Kids especially love to get their hands dirty in this process and as a bonus they get to watch what happens when the seeds come to life.
